Looking at a 22 for prone. A friend has an Izhmash single shot Standard target rifle. It’s has apertures and a little kit of tools and inserts. A hammer forged barrel adjustable stock, and a rail on the forend. It’s is a good shooter.

It was bought in Alberta in back in the day. Is anyone familiar?
What is it worth?

Buddy had one a few yrs ago when we shot DCRA winter postals. He shot 600 out of possible 600 with it and a few others could shoot it with similar results.
Prices then were from$800 to $1000

I have one and its a great rifle, really accurate like all the Soviet/Russian match rifles.

I saw one on the EE a couple days ago for 750$. It seems to be a fair market value.
If its complete with tools ( which I don’t have ) it may worth a couple bucks more.

IMO those rifles are a steal at that price. I’m sure they can compete against rifles that worth 2-3 times more…

EDIT :

Its not an Izhmash but a Vostok on the EE… but its a CM-2.

I had a Vostok CM-2 a couple years ago. It was a nice rifle as well. I can be wrong but I think Vostok were the fisrt to produce CM-2’s then Izhmash took over a couple years later.

Here is a couple pics of my Izhmash :
