I suggest you buy a punch set so you can disassemble the bolt. Learn how the rifle works so you don't end up being one of the "typical" SKS owners who knows nothing about their rifle. Probably the best bang for the buck of all rifles in Canada but has the ergonomics of a 2x4. I like to bring mine to the range when I go with friends and we just shoot to have fun.

Then you need to buy a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 and SVT40.
Then get your RPAL and buy a Tokarev TT33

Thank you all for your welcomes and the tips on where to watch a few good videos about SKS rifles. I have now watched a few videos and am eager to
get one. I live near Kelowna, B.C. I imagine that the gun stores there will have a good selection. Any tips on picking one out once I get my PAL.

Try and steer clear of corrosive ammo, there are some good deals for ammo, but if you cannot translate the label, ensure someone does for you.
