Hey guys attached is a model seven I can get onto for a good price!
2.73 kg with rings.. so add a burris droptine at 370grams, ... My math says 3kg rifle
So about half a kilo lighter than the Franchi.
Is also a 308.

What's the texture of this stock??
Is that blued the one that comes on SPS blued rifles? Bumpy texture... Loves moisture?

Stock ,it is hard plastic or rubbery kind of?

Thanks gents

Can’t speak to the bluing as mine is stainless. That’s the same stock that came on mine though, plain Jane plastic. Smooth except for the little stippled areas. It’s one of the cheaper plastic stocks you will ever encounter. I doubt you’ll like it. Also they have a pressure point in the forend that is supposed to touch the barrel, so the barrel is not free floating.

Looks similar to a Seven that I had. Much like the rest of the SPS line with the same powder coating and cheap plastic stocks. The barrels from these Sevens are typically the weak point. The thin barrels have lots of whip and heat up fast so every shot needs to be from a cold barrel meaning you better not miss the first shot on a hunt because the second shot is going into a different grid square. This line is nice if you plan to build on the action with a good barrel cut to your specs then bedded into a Wildcat or Mcmillan Edge.

Treat that finish like parkerizing. The stock won't impress, but it can be switched.

I'm a small guy, but I found the Seven to feel too small in weird ways, I sold mine shortly, couldn't shoot it at all. It's not special, lots of short actions I've liked better.
