Looking to get another coyote rig going. Tell me about yours, likes dislikes?

Im leaning towards cz 527 in 204 Likes? Dislikes? Good trigger?...... go

I have 2 Ruger #1's in .204 Good triggers.

After trying a CZ 527 in .204 and a Tikka T3Varmint, I ordered a T3

Better aftermarket support, much nicer trigger in the Tikka than the CZ.

Both are very nice guns. I prefer the mini mauser action of the CZ, but the Tikka is nice in it's own way.

I have a Tikka t3lite in 204, it's good on coyotes. Trigger is good and it's nice to carry. Picked up a CZ 527 v in 17 Hornet last fall, didn't get mush shooting with it bur i do like the set trigger. The triggers are very nice on both rifles and easy to adjust if need be. I prefere the Tikka if i'm walking cause of the light weight. In my opinion it's six of one half a doz. of the other.

I had a 527 in 223rem. The trigger was excellent after you play with the adjustment screws. The set trigger you can set it so if you blow on it it will fire.

I've got a savage axis in 204. Shoots great, I have a bushnell 4200 6-24 on it. I recommend 32 grain and up bullets preferably 40s for coyotes. Noslers have done well for me.

Mine is a stainless Rem 700 wth #3 Gaillard barrel, McMillan Remington hunter stock in a McSwirly that finishes up like snow camo, Rifle Basix trigger, Leupold VX3 4.5-14 with varmint Hunter reticle. It was built by Ted Gaillard except for the bolt that was bushied in and out by Lyle Lincatus.

Likes: it is truly spectactular shooter.

Dislikes: it's a 204, and as such doesn't kill coyotes like a 22/250 and never will.

That second one is a bit of a downer.

I've had 3 over the years. First was a H&R single shot, then a CZ527 Varmint and a TC Contender. All three were accurate and great to shoot, but i ended up selling them all. I just don't think it does anything better than my 22-250s or my 223s. It ended up being one more caliber that i didnt shoot, because i preferred my others. Like Dogleg said, it just doesnt kill a coyote like a 22-250.

I bought a 77 mk2 in the first year the .204 came out and love it, I also own a cz 527 varmint in .223 both are just as accurate. with 40 gr vmax I've never seen a failure to drop coyotes as long as I do my part. yeah the .22-250 has a lot more hp but the 204 is easier on powder. all are good calibers

I have a rem 700vtr I bought off the ee. Don't find it super accurate though. Really like the 204. So far found the 204 knocks them right down. Have only shot 3or4 with it so far. Have also used 243 and 223. I don't feel like I've given anything up with the 204. I hunt them for fur.

I have a CZ 527 American (left hand) in .204 Ruger.
Likes: super lightweight, detachable mag, trigger is great, accurate, pretty wood.
Dislikes: the pretty wood is kinda soft (easily scratched), you can't be gentle with feeding ammo (which makes it harder to be quiet when predator hunting)

I also have a Remington 700 VLS, which I rebarreled with a Pac-Nor 1-in-10 twist barrel and .204 Ruger Match chambering for shooting heavier bullets (40 gr and 50 gr Bergers mostly).

Buy mine on sale here, best one you're going to find!

I have a Tika heavy barrelled Varmint rifle. Forget the actual model just now, super accurate did an inch at two hundred once (probably wont do that again but it's me not the rifle). 204 kills em dead at close range and probably farther than I care to shoot. Good stuff. Go forth and enjoy.
