I'm thinking of having a cabinet reshuffle and selling my cz kevlar .223 and buying a stevens to fill the .223 niche. My cz is more accurate than I can shoot, and I've shot it to 400 yds. How do stevens owners find their .223s for accuracy? I want something lighter than my cz varmint, and I'm trying to raise money for a pistol.

I know Boyds do stocks for them, and eventually I would love to bild a 6.8 on one. For now I just want a.223 for the occassional coyote and gopher. My .243 has become my all round coyote and deer rfile(always was my no 1 deer rifle)
I hardly use my cz, but I want to have a .223 in the safe so I'm thinking stevens...

If you look in the precision rifles forum a lot of guys build precision long range shooters off them, but the stock barrels seem to give great accuracy as well. The Stevens is just a budget Savage with a cheap stock and a no frills trigger. As most will agree the Savage is a great shooter in general, the stevens can't be too bad itself.
