Ok, this is not my first BBQ but aside from a brief spell with Bushmaster I have always drank Kool-Aid. My problem is I have a couple of 6921 upper and a spare 6920 top end and a 6721 upper but not enough lowers. LMT seems to garner some respect but I have not seen them in any detail, could the LMT dudes that actually have Colt experiences as well give me your comparisons and maybe some pics. They seem to be tough to get but not as tough as Colt lowers.

I've got one on order. It's going to be a little while yet (maybe another 6 weeks), but when it gets here, it's coming your way so you guys can put a larue ris on the front, so you'll have one to fondle in the near future...

I'd like to know as well, I'm saving up for a Mk 18 Mod 0 clone. BTW does anyone know if only the civilian versions of their uppers are marked with their logo etched onto the receiver?

back in the day ;) - I brought up a number of 10.5 LMT uppers that where not marked -- as their US Mil contract guns are done -- this was in the first few hundred of commercial LMT released guns go.

Now all their commercial sales are marked.

I have a complete LMT 10.5 gun - with LMT Crane stock -

I think LMT makes one of the best systems around these days -- but Armalite is charging hard -- they have fixed about everything wrong (expect still no non contract 1:7 barrels)

OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhh, my 10.5" LMT upper isn't marked.............Bought it from a local member who had it kicking around for awhile........

SKBY.:D

I have long sold my colt so I can't do a side by side pic, but I will say that the LMT is as good as the colt in terms of fit / finish. If anything, the colt sporter ( h-bar ) I had was far looser fit upper to lower

The LMT I have on 2 different RRA uppers fit very well , not overly tight, just no play. BTW the RRA lower fit is ever tighter ( actually perfect fit ! ) that needs slight pressure to remove. Only downside with the RRA lower is the takedown pin as a result of this tight fit requires noticably more pressure to push out than the LMT does. Small price to pay for a perfect fit

I was going to buy a RRA upper but for another $70 I thought I would try the LMT

Only issue I would say to watch out for is the "standard" LMT trigger is just ok. Once you use the RRA two stage NM, Chip McCormick and other aftermarket you won't go back

It also came with a ERGO grip which was a nice suprise

You can buy the LMT from Questars. highly recommended dealer. Mark is great to deal with . You can choose from their SOPMOD stock and their 2 stage match as well

Here is a pic. Not much different from any other lower . Don't ask me why they say "Law enforcement use only" . Doesn't mean anything here anyways. I think its because LMT generaly doesn't sell lower only to general public in the US .

I really want a lower that says "restricted for government or law enforcement use only" Do all LMT lowers have that??

According to Questar, they are now charging extra for this.

I have an LMT lower with 2 stage trigger, SOPMOD and the markings enroute to me right now to go with my 10.5" LMT upper.

TRG-42, nice post dude, thanks. I'm not a fan of the two stage triggers so that's not much of an issue.Still struggling with whether or not I can bring myself to install a non Kool-Aid lower on my Colt uppers.
