There are lots of posts recommending and praising the virtues of higher end optics like Zeiss, Swaro, Leupold, Bushnell 4200's, etc. How about the low end stuff ? I know there must be lots of hunting rifles out there topped with Tascos, inexpensive Bushnells (Banners on down), older Weavers, and a whole raft of other, perhaps less recognizable brands of glass, many of which continue to serve their owners with great reliability year after year. Anybody own, or know of an "old faithful" to tell us about?

Old you're looking for? Have I got a deal for you! A while back, I picked up a three-way old combo, old caliber, in an old rifle with an old scope, all the same vintage. It's a 219 Donaldson Wasp, in a Winchester High Wall with a 10X, J.Unertl scope.:DAnd it shoots well.;)Takes a little 'fiddling around' concerning brass but I can live with that.

OLD FAITHFUL= a BUSHNEL SCOPECHIEF 3-9X38 bought in 1969, this has the Comand post and built in mounting system. I still have it mounted on one of my rifles and it's covered a lot of miles.
