I'll admit I'm one of those people that spend 99% on the gun and 1% on accessories. I guess because you can always upgrade... Right now my IPSC rig consists of a leather belt that I found at a friends place after her roommates moved, 2 uncle mikes mag pouches and a nylon holster that I got from.... Wal Mart for $6.99  (removed the strap and the BS add ons). Total price was $30! ;) I'm shooting a $1000 gun... When I feel like either the mag holders or the holster are slowing me down I'll upgrade but at this point I'd rather spend they money on ammo.

I don't really consider a decent holster and mag pouches accessories. I don't consider extra mags accessories either.

But what you did is a smart way to get into things cheaply (except the gun). If you find out you really like it, then upgrade.

I will say this though, I bought Bladetech holsters and mag pouches right off the bat and I have never looked back, they make decent gear.

I bought my first rig at EE section of this web site. A sturdy double belt with six CR-Speed pouches and CR-Speed holster for $200 was a great deal. Since then I replaced holster with Bladetech, but still using the the rest.

lol...:D.... that is funny...

I had EXACTLY the same experience.

I bought the setup off the EE for 200 but couldn't get comfortable with the speed holster locking system and swapped it out for a BladeTech DOH

Great minds think alike :D

( But I also heard fools seldom differ :( )

Actually I am happy with CR-Speed, but I shoot in US and CR-Speed holster doesn't qualify for USPSA Production division.

BladeTech, with the Drop-Offset (I got the IDPA set, DOH converter, and extra mags) - you won't look back! (out of fear of shooting yourself in the foot... kidding.
