I have two USGI issue AN/PVS-4 gen2 scopes. One is for M16A2 and the other is for M14. They were made by B.E. Meyers.
I also have two Russian gen2 scopes with sks mounts. All of these scopes work on double A batteries and work very well. The Russian scopes are a lot smaller that the US scopes and are easier to use. I also have a pair of Russian gen2 bino's that work on a small 9volt battery. For the money, these work very well on a boat at night. Radar picks up logs, but the bino's help you see them.
