Fellas, I'm in Ontario. That shouldn't make any difference but it seems to.

Let's say I buy a pistol in a private transaction. Let's say also that the seller sends it to me via Canada Post. Finally, let's say that I have to go pick it up at my local post office.

Question 1: Does the seller have to get a temporary ATT to take the gun from his house to his local post office?

Question 2: Do I have to get a temporary ATT to bring the gun home from my local post office?

Thanks in advance.

I'm usually working during the day so my wife picks up all packages from the post office. No way I'm going to bother with an ATT for a package that possibly contains a firearm. How do I know for sure unless I open it?

Worst case scenario, she gets pulled over on the way home. Is an officer going to demand that she open the mail she just picked up in front of him?
