How long does it take for the CFO to mail back test results? I did my RPAL on May 31, 2009 and till now I've received nothing in the mail.
 
phone the CFO and politly ask if there is a problem with the results. Some hold up can be with how quick your instructor sent in the test scores
 
I did mine(rpal only) in early december, if I remember correctly, and didnt get the results till near the end of january. It was over christmas which I figured was the delay so maybe youve hit a summer holiday slowdown due to vactions or something. I did the non restricted separately in november and got that back in less than three weeks.
 
The whole mailing the results to the CFO is BS. I know several people playing the waiting game with this slow bureaucratic ass clown. It accomplishes absolutely nothing aside from delaying peoples ability to apply for a license.
 
I agree with you Wildbore, my take on it is that it is an attempt to make the process longer to get the liscence and possibly lose interest. I understand that it takes time to process the application, but having the whole process take 2 months if all goes well from the time you pass the tests is a bit much.

IMO the added delay may make new shooters a bit unfamiliar with the things learned in class if they can't use the information for two months after passing the course. The best way to retain knowledge is by doing what you learned, not learn, wait two months and then do what you remember of what you learned.

I wonder what the car insurance rates would be if you had to wait two months or more without driving after you passed your drivers liscence test???

I called the CFO and they said that they have nothing for me. Next I called my instructor and he just brushed me off, just gave me the number to the CFO, which I already have!

Wait a few days they might have mailed it out. At the end of the day, it is the CFO's duty to provide you with service. You have the right to receive your course report in a timely manner and given all he has to do is stamp it and mail it, it seems unreasonable to wait longer than a month.

If it takes longer than a month you should refer his office to the ombudsman of Ontario. The ombudsman will attempt to resolve the complaint for you or at least direct you to the appropriate authorities to get your problem solved.
