Hey
well after I did some yard work and took wifey to store...thought..hey its nice out , didn't get to go to base borden today so lets go to the back of my property and try out the new mags I bought last week.
I have to say it must a hit and miss with these buttlercreek mags...I have four already that I had to grind down a bit to allow the bolt to pass over but the two I got last week ran perfect..200 rounds at my small metal target and not one stopage.
I think I may have to buy some of those white box cheapo ammo at SAIL and see how they run..
I forgot how relaxing it is to shoot my 10/22 with the ati ar22 stock....
I may email ati and inquire about the fact that the barrel does move alittle making it not so accurate ...
Glenn.

Ive been having trouble with mine. Seems like i get at least 2 stovepipes per mag and sometimes more. I have 2 butler creek mags and both are about the same. I also have an hc3r mag which jams at least 1 in 5 rounds. Ive been using thunderbolts mostly. Anyone have any suggestions to make these run better?

Metal lips.
It seems to feed just fine but the spent case isnt ejecting and gets jammed between the bolt and the newly fed round. I havent ran many rounds with the stock 10 rounder. Maybe it could be another issue. Something preventing the spent shell from ejecting.

I have 3 of the steel lips and almost all the issues I have are all ammo related. Stovepiping happened more with the cheaper ammo then good quality ammo.

Take a file to the mag, sounds like your bolt is rubbing on it and doesnt have enough force by the time it makes it to the ejector to eject the round. I have 6 BC steel mags, that was the first thing I did with them and they all work great for me.

Steel lips for mine and didn't matter the ammo used win M22 or cci, same ####e what I had to do was wiggle it down a bit so it's not fully in and it worked fine as long as it's not touched. So P.O.S.

the six I have are steel lips
I have not been out back with the new ammo I bought last saturday lovely white winchester bulk packs...I saw pro mag banana magazines in bass pro for about $25 each...anyone try those almost picked them up.
also forgot to ask ...what do some of you use to carry them around chest rigs,belts..beside throwing them in your range bags ...
thanks

Havent heard of anyone having much success with the promag ones, but i havent personally tried one. YMMV
