..for my 10/22s! I cannot believe the difference these made. Soooooooooo much more reliable.

Seriously, these should be stock. When you go buy a 10/22 get one of these and swap it out before you do anything. What are they, like $10? You have no reason not to do this :)

Now to re-radius and polish my bolts...

I found re-radiusing the bolt made the biggest difference, extractor helped only a little. Your gun will feed subsonics once you do it.

Trigger job and polishing internals including inside of receiver made the biggest difference for me. I radiused my bolt but just used sand womdering if I should take it down some more.

Polishing my bolt and receiver made a huge difference. Cycles subsonics with no issues. I haven't bothered radiusing the bolt however, just because I've been happy with the performance. Anyone running a VQ extractor with a Bentz chamber? I don't have any extraction issues of spent cases, I'd just like to be able to extract live rounds from the rifling.

What did you re-radius the bolts on, a grinder, belt sander or manually?

I used a diamond sharpening stone from my sharpening kit, normal file and sandpaper seem to do nothing but polish. Took my time and turned out really well.

This thread kinda sums up why I'm loathe to buy a 10/22.

Sure, they're fun, and common, and cheap, but... do I really want to spend this sort of time on a plinker? And yet it seems like there aren't any better options. :(

They work fine out of the box but some people just like to tinker so 10/22's and 1911's and ar15's are go too choices.

[/I]I've got a Dlask 8" with X-treme chamber and a Tactical Solutions extractor and live American Eagle and Federal 510 won't extract.Live Blazer and CCI SV will extract. So I took my digital caliper and measured some rounds, the Blazer and CCI cases are smaller diameter so the extractor has more rim to grab if that makes any sense.

I've got a bone stock 10/22 blued synthetic stock that I've put 5000rds through in under a year in conditions from -30 to snowstorm to rainstorm to humid with around 4 fte's total that were due to cheap bulk ammo..I've run blazer, subsonics, stingers, mimimags, federal bulk, winchester bulk and winchester wildcats.. You can leave'm stock or supe them up..
