Just bought this one, it reminded me of an Anschutz I sold years ago. I guess I'm getting old, can't shoot those little peeps any more. So off they came.

I tried mounting a scope, but I don't have high enough rings for that 11mm European groove.

$550 is a pretty good deal for one of those. I had one in 1985. Wish I never sold it. Paid $650 for it then, and that's about what I see them asking now.
If you want to sell it, I might be looking.....

Leoupold rimfire rings should work, pretty sure I have them on my 310. The round top of the receiver interferes with a lot of rings. D+L airguns have rings to fit. Nice looking gun, had one with that stock. The newer one has a deeper fore end and a better trigger.

There are a great number of rings that can be used to mount a scope on 11mm dovetail grooves. BKL rings are excellent and will fit very well. So, too, will rings by Warne, Talley, and Leupold. Sportsmatch makes excellent rings as well. You can even get UTG rings that will do the trick for about $20 - 25. There's no reason a CIL 190 cannot be easily scoped. I had a similar Model 180 and there were no issues at all.

I'm thinking that I'll sell the outfit instead, thanks for all the help. The final kicker is that other than Leupold rings for $100, the rings would need to be internet ordered. I like the BKL ones, look real solid. I'll talk it over with my son and let him list them.

Thanks CGN forum, you're the best.

The 11mm receiver dovetails on many Annies isn't flat but is round so many rings don't fit well. You have a better chance to fit 11mm rings on a gun with a flat top receiver like the cz and others. The rimgs have to have a high center in them so they clear the receiver.

The frustration makes me want to bail on this one.

I paid $550 with 2 sets of sights, and if I can't get high enough mounts, I think I'll sell it. So much for helping a friends mother with an Estate item. I'm just too sentimental for my own good. But, that rifle sure feels good in the hands.

Nice rifle, too bad you have trouble with the irons, they are a pleasure to shoot. What year manufacture?,...mine was made in 1966 the same year I started school, and I still shoot aperture sights with not to much issue so far, but I'm guessing when it ends it ends quite quickly.
