Thanks.

I found them to perform the same as the hornady tap 168 gr and the same in the 223 75 gr round performance was identical. Didn't crony but poi and accuracy were outstanding.

Buy a box and have a bash...best way to assess their performance. Plus Hornady prices are pretty reasonable so there's little to stop you from giving them a test.

The 6 and 6.5 bullets aren't out yet. Their BC's are ok, (the 6 is quite good) but are not tops in their class. Berger still dominates the field. Always nice to have other choices.

I would like to know if the Ogives are tangent or secant.

Yeah PF, but I'm sure by the time they make it up here, there won't be much price advantage over anything else. I still want to try them...

Hornady had a 'Match' bullet line long before they had their A-Max line. Suspect it's more about marketing than anything else.

the real knock against the 208 amax for F/Tr was bullet consistancy. Every once and a while you would get a head scratcher. Most chalked that up to QC. If they have found a way to produce really good jackets, then they deserve a second look.

Indeed. I was using the Hornady .308 168 match bullets years ago and they were very good. Did they have other calibers as well?

i shoot lots of hornady bullets and love them and hard to beat the price at 21 bucks a box for 100 compared to upwards of 40 bucks a box for 50 of most other brands my brither shoots the 168 grain match grade hpbt out of his 308 xp 100 pistol and gets lots of one hole groups with it at 100 yards

Exactly my point. The only MATCH BTHP other then A-MAX available before was the 168 and 155 I think.

Now they will produce many different sizes and caliber for this specific MATCH line.

Hrn has changed how they produce jackets and essentially want a bigger piece of the match bullet pie. They suggest improved QC and consistency and offer bullets in all popular cals and weight.

Reports on the HRN 338 285gr BTHP have been very positive. The others are too new to get much feedback.

The price point is better (sometimes) then the green and yellow brands but in the same ballpark. In general, HRN has raised their pricing to what the market will bear.

for those interested in trying, a number are still available. The hope is that with the size of Hrn, backorders will be faster at being refilled??????

There is only one way to find out how they shoot for you....

Jerry
