I took a work mate out to my "honey" hole. He had the tag I had the savy.
Opening day Sept 25th we saw moose but no good ethical shots available so... come pre thanksgiving I said "dude ,mondays a holiday do ya wanna go to the moose hole"?

Long story short 0815 A.M. Bullwinkle is down.:dancingbanana:

Some good eating is coming our way.
Here is my work buddy proudly displaying his Moose Kill.
Approx 1100 lbs 43" Spread Healthy Moose

Lots of work getting it out (8k back in the bush) and I called the Bro in law to bring out his quad and give us a hand.:D

Sorry for the picture of the rack covered by the Jacket however I thought it prudent to travel with the horns wrapped in red/orange for safety.

Sunset at the moose hole.

Made a moose stew with backstrap tenderlion off cuts on Tuesday :D
Ate the heart on Saturday :dancingbanana:
Cut up the back half today, and the front gets done tommorow.

Then to the butcher for sausage/ground and Jerky.

Cheers

Great story, great pic's! Love your "Gun Glamour" shot! beautiful! and nice to hear you are enjoying the reaps of your rewards early... Yum, Yum. :dancingbanana:

I like the setup, nice done. it must have been nice to watch the sunset after a day's work....

I have one question: Assuming that the pullover you're wearing is made of wool, where did you get it?
I ordered some from England but never arrived... long story....

eltorro; I have had a few compliments on that pullover as you call it.
I was lucky enough to inherit it from my father who did not hunt. It is a Barbour 100% wool knit and if I had to purchase it on my own I do not think I would be able to afford it. It is a favorite of mine and a must bring piece of apparel when mother nature frosts up.
I have had this sweater for 14 years and it is very dear and special to me .

Thanks for noticing :D

Cheers

Great job Timo!
Nice to see some guy's shoot bulls at the right end of the day so you have nothing but more daylight to work with!

Congrats!
Noel

Thanks Noel . I sure enjoyed looking at your thread about your successful hunt this year.:D
Thanks for stopping in.

Cheers
