Received my PAL on the 18th. Bought my first pistol online on the 20th. Phoned the CFO on the 21st to check on the transfer. I needed to email my gunclub registration. Did that on the 21st too. Phoned back on the 27th and they approved the transport and updated PAL (ATT conditions) on the spot. Picking her up tonight.

I have been told by 2 separate agents that I'll have to wait for the registration certificate before taking it to the range and that is how they roll in BC. The certificate is printed in Ottawa so it may take a while.

Time to buy a cleaning kit. Any suggestions?

Congrats on your first pistol, and yes you will have to wait until the registration arrives before you take it to the range. I went with a cheap Remington kit ($49) for my cleaning needs, but all my firearms are utilitarian workers, lol, if I had higher end guns I would definitely invest in one piece rods for my cleaning needs.

Thanks edgy. What do you consider to be utilitarian workers? I'm getting a CZ SP-01 Shadow.

I think you will be fine with a cheap kit for the Shadow, and wow, nice first handgun!! By high end, I'm talking if I owned a Handgun worth over 2 grand, lol, or a tuned race gun. I try to keep my purchases under a grand :)
