I was just at Lebaron on saturday and I saw that the Crossman 1322 is back. Anybody pick one up yet? I am going to get one next week. I have a 1377 that I love, now I will have the big brother.

They had one in stock, or just listed in the catalog? I've had a 1377 since I was 16, almost 27 years. Haven't used it much in recent years mind you, but it holds fine memories for sure. I plan on getting one for sure.

Nice! Excellent grouse gun, where they can be legally used.

Lots of whump, no CO2 to deal with. What's not to like? :)

Now, to see if they actually shoot close to the high 400's or if they need work to get there...

I can't even remember which decade I bought my 1322 in...80's?
That reminds me, I'm still looking for a rear dovetail sight so I can get rid of the cheap optic.
The .22 thumps nice and hard......

Longer barrel, cheaper to buy, you can change out any parts you want to, if you want to. Not soldered together.

That said, the barrels on the Sheridans used to be pretty decent, and the the build quality was good, if pretty much dated and un-changeable.

Same company making both these days, so you can't claim brand loyalty.

I tested two different guns with Premier hollow points 14.3 grain both with a 10 pump average of 428 fps out of the box.
One got a flat top piston kit from scopes and ammo and now shoots an average of 465fps.
The other has the flat top piston kit and 14" barrel and shoots just under 500fps with 10 pumps.

Yep - works great, 10 pumps Crosman 14.3 grain Premiers:

30 yards rested, the barrel was loose in the forward band so I wired it to the lower tube – group decreased by more than ½.

Did some trigger work and installed a flat top valve kit so now I get the same velocity with 7 pumps as I did with 10.

As for rear sights, there are a couple different types:
Williams ($90)

LPA MIM ($50)
