Been looking t the Uberti and the Pedersoli's,are these accurate rifles or just pretty?Thinking of one in 45-70.

What say thee?

They have the advantage of being pretty and very accurate generally.

At least most of the ones that I compete against are great shooters. They are a combination of originals, Brownings and a few Italian rifles and all shoot well.
 
Don't know why they wouldn't be. The Pedersoli Sharps' that I have seen in competition were pretty accurate. They certainly did the job though guys usually end up trading up for a Shiloh or C. Sharps. I imagine the situation with the 1885s would be similar. Good enough but no cachet.
 
I should state the intended purpose of stated rifle would be for deer,moose,black bear out to 150 yards max,most likely 30 to 80yards.

I have read enough bad things about the Uberti 1885 High Wall that I would be incline to buy a Pedersoli myself.. Some Uberti's have crappy barrels is the problem.. The new Pedersoli High Wall is considered to be top shelf... It is a heavy rifle made for competition and you may want to consider a Winchester High Wall which I believe are lighter for hunting.. You could also buy a Ruger #1-S in 45-70 which would be lighter yet.
I should say in Uberti's defense not all have bad barrels and I have two Uberti 1885 Low Walls in 38-55 that shot cast around 3-3.5" at 100m, with out lot of range work...
