I am curious if you can still find the original military issue model 1897's "Trench Guns" as they are sometimes called, and a general estimate of how much a good to very good example would cost on the market right now?

You will be looking around 1200 and up, more if in the states, they do come up in the EE from time to time.

Saw one sold, with the correct bayonet, for $1050 plus tax, last Saturday. Condition was as you describe.
