Years ago in the Toronto area, a group took the .22 CF Velo Dog case, reworked the case, loading a .22 jacketed bullet, overall length loaded kept to the standard length of a .22LR round. They were taking S&W, Colts etc. revolvers and rechambering them to take this new cartidge.
I believe thet the JGR comes from the names of the developers.
I saw the presentation at a gun show many years ago and picked up fired case. I seated a standard bullet I had for a .222 rifle I was reloading for and still have it. I will post an image here ASAP but amd starting the ball rolling now.
