Your right BigUglyMan, the problem with hot weather is all about powder.at the time when this cartridge came out (early 1900's). Cordite is old news and we are living "IN THE NOW". Gunslinger should know that the .416 rigby can be handloaded to kick the .416 rem.'s ass. Roy Weatherby put a belt on that sucker and showed them how it's done.

Just a quick note jan/feb issue of RIFLE has an article on the Ruger Hawkeye in 375 ruger. Now this was fired and some good points were made BUT the pic of the cracks at rear of stock/tang were quite disturbing. Of course Ruger apologised and sent a new stock.......Article is by Brian Pearce. Check it out JITC

My pal who bought the .375 Ruger got a compimentary replacement stock from Hogue - just in case.
