just want to show off my new 870 Police Magnum...I have been waiting to find this model with a factory 14" barrel for a long time, and finally got one.

from what I hear its a hard model to find with a factory MOD 14" barrel. Came with the one shot extension from scattergun.

I have not had a chance to fire it as im recovering from shoulder surgery, and was wondering if anyone has some experience with a similar setup??

thanks

(sorry about the poor pic, was taken with a cell phone)

Eewwww! That's ugly. Get rid of it quick! If you need a potential donor/recipient for it, I'd help you out.:D

Love that stubby little barrel on there.

Where did you pick that beauty up? I have been toying with the idea of an 870P +Dlask barrel, and have never seen one with a factory 14 inch barrel.

I put out a post in the WTB forum a while back and a member contacted me and offered to sell. Needless to say I agreed to purchase it immediately..lol

Lucky SOB,

I literally went looking for my credit card thinking I could call or email someone in the morning for one.

I has going to do the same 870p+Dlask cause figured I would never find a factory barrel in that size. I almost gave up but didn't really like the idea of an aftermarket barrel( not that Dlask dont make a great product) i just always prefer factory if I have a choice. I think of it like cars..I would rather AMG parts on my Benz then aftermarket(factory always seems to fit proper)

I think I may have actually owned that gun at one time! Wish I'd never sold it... Did yous come with the original box by any chance?

But either way congratulations! The factory 14" 870Ps are definitely rare and don't come along very often these days. Enjoy it! It is an amazing gun.

i was checking out Knoxx stock online,,but not sure about the looks and long term reliability. I was thinking of using this 870 for speed shooting, and seems the knoxx would be more prone to get hung up or snagged on clothing. Anyone have experience using the knoxx stock for speed shooting events??

if you have shoulder problems id definitly suggest getting a knoxx stock
as for reliability ive blasted around 1000 rounds down the pipe with no issues, there is some play in the recoil mechanisms which hasnt changed either
for recoil reduction, other than the bigger loads it tames that lion down to a pussy-cat, 90% reduced is not exaggerated

That looks like it's worth looking into. As stupid as it sounds, I just cannot stand the looks of a KNOXX stock
