So lately I took some of my kids shooting and now I cannot find my locker keys and Homak lists my code as one that requires new cylinders. So, until my self imposed deadline of April 1 to find the keys (or the spares which I have put in such a safe place that I cannot remember it) I am limited to:

22LR, 22-250, SKS, and a Winchester 94 44Mag that I was recently given (that shoots way high with the shells I was also given). Only tag I have at this time is Cougar and of course I always keep my eyes open for wolves and coyotes.

Luckily I still have the key to my ammo locker.

If the lock has a number on it: http://lostakey.net/. I acquired a big control cabinet from an elevator mechanic friend of mine. Wanted to use it as an ammo locker. Came with a nice lock system on it, but no key. Ordered up a couple keys from lostakey whose numbers matched, and one of them worked (After a little bit of filing to thin they key down a bit). Worth a shot?

What kind of lock is it?
There are lot's of picking videos online and as hard as it might be to understand........you can buy the tools online as well.

It's an older generic Homak containing a 7x57 and a 375 (Winchester).

Not too concerned about getting in at this time of the year. If I can't find the keys, I'll find a way in and just install a padlock.

Besides the 22-250 and 44 Mag will keep me occupied, the 44 shoots way high which I will try to fix with handloading and the trigger needs some attention as the pull is horrible, but hey, the price was right.

Anyone ever find Christmas presents from last year in their closet? i have nothing more to add.I have a Homac cabinet that I had only a damaged key for so I was in the same boat. Finally found another loose key so I need to get another cut.I suppose you don't have a key #
