So "modernized" that they forgot the Ambi slide lock/release🤦

The all-new SIG P226X LEGION at SIG NEXT 2025—a modernized, modular evolution of one of the most iconic double-stack 9mm handguns in history. With full-sized and carry models available, the P226X LEGION takes the proven P226 platform and brings it into the modern era with enhanced ergonomics, modularity, optics compatibility, and the best trigger SIG has ever put in a DA/SA pistol.

The 226X LEGION series offers two trigger configurations:
• AX1: Single-Action Only (SAO) with over-travel adjustment
• AX2: Double/Single-Action (DA/SA) with adjustable pre-travel and over-travel

Both models feature match-grade bull barrels with 35/35-degree reverse target crowns (4.4” for full-size, 3.8” for carry), an all-metal frame and slide, flush-fit 18-round steel magazines, G10 Legion grips, and a deeply undercut X-Series frame with 1913 rail and front strap checkering.

The slides are optic-ready for SIG LOC Pro optics (e.g., ROMEO1Pro, ROMEO2) but maintain compatibility with other major footprints like DPP and RMR. Grips, slides, controls, and magwells are XFIVE-compatible, making this the most configurable 226 ever made.

MSRP is TBD at launch, but availability is expected in the coming months. Whether you’re a hardcore Legion collector or just a fan of classic SIG DA/SA performance with modern upgrades, the P226X LEGION is built to last—and to evolve.

Broken hearted that sig Germany is gone. They were pushing the cutting edge with the LDC. Would have liked to see what was next.

Sig USA just feels like maximum hipe.

I love my German Custom Shop P226 X5 non rail pistol, I tried the American Sig P210 target, it was ok but didn’t have that Teutonic feel or provenance, hence I sold it and bought a sweet vintage Sig P210-1 when the freeze was announced. I agree about USA Sig hype, however I regret not getting their P220 in 10mm when they were available up here.
