Bahahahaa! :D This is Charles Daly on Arfcom

Please do not call the company at this time to ask when the Tavor SAR will start shipping. IWI US is in an early "start-up" phase and does not have the customer service staff in place to handle a large number of telephone calls at this time. They will in the not too distant future.

Starting next week you will be able to email IWI US at info@iwi.us or sales@iwi.us.

The website is terribly behind schedule, obviously...

And like all things that you want to happen quickly in this life, they rarely do. I was first quoted on the question of "when will IWI have the Tavor available for sale?" at the 2012 SHOT Show, with the response "I hope before the November election". Since SHOT I've often repeated the "October-November" time frame, and more recently hinted of "before year-end".

In hindsight, as events have transpired, it would now appear that these were overly optimistic statements. As just one example of the time it takes to get some government approvals, I can tell you that it can take 9-10 months to get the first commercial quantities of new importable components approved for entry into the US, from start to finish, With finish meaning the arrival in the US facility of the first shipment. The merchandise can be manufactured in one month. The rest of that time is spent in the US and Israeli bureaucracy of licensing and permitting.

I hate to say this, but I don't think Tavors will be available before the end of February and it's quite possible it will be the end of March by the time it's all said and done.

FFL's are obtained, the facility is ready, initial staff is in place....

I know you guys (and gals) have been patiently waiting for a long time. I've been there with you. No one wants to see this happen more than me. Please stick with us a little longer. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

I will be attending the 2012 Bullpup Shoot at Rockcastle Shooting Center at Park Mammoth Resort in Park City, KY this weekend if anyone wants to come yell at me. I wouldn't blame you.I'll have the Tavor SAR prototype with me.

As soon as the IWI website is launched I will let you know. I 'll let you know what I can, when I can. IWI US is not my company.I wish it was, but not......

I don't want to spam the Black Rifles forum with more Tavor threads than I already do, but I thought I'd post some hand-load results:

Please note: this is not shot by me! This is pulled off an Israeli forum with another member I was chatting with. But thats the kind of grouping he's getting.

Looking forward to the hand-load results TV. Hey, so that means the US might see the Tavor by mid next year - assuming that Zero doesn't implement a new AWB. Wouldn't that suck? Hey, here's your new Tavor... which is banned!

On the flip-side, how long do you think it will be before we start seeing the "why do Tavors cost $xx more in Canada than in the US" threads...

Anyone else get the feeling that the US will ban their US made Tavors from export to Canada? It would be fairly ironic since we get the made in Israel ones.
