The answer to the GSG-5 is......the HK416

Great talking to you today and my wife is very happy with her pistol. It looks over-the-top with the 30 round mag and she loves it. A happy wife makes a happy life. :)

The magazine package says: "For Colt M4/M16 .22 rimfire only" and when I read the RCMP blurb on magazines carefully, to me it should be fine. Then again, I'm applying logic to this which doesn't always work. lol!

I know about that....just good to hear that there were no surprises. You never know what will come from left field when it comes to firearms in Canada.

A migraine attacked my wife so she couldn't come to range night with me so I took the HK pistol to check it out for her. She's sorry she couldn't make it because this pistol is a blast! btw, I'm one of those strange guys because I actually read the instructions and it turns out you can use both standard velocity and high velocity ammo by adjusting the bolt speed. As simple as turning a screw. So the case of 5000 rounds of CCI Std Vel ammo I have will be perfect for this pistol. :)

The pistol looks outrageous with the 30 round mag hanging down and shooting it is the same outrageous level of fun. :) Only thing I'd change is to have a lighter trigger. It's a little on the heavy side. Minor quibble and one that can be dealt with down the road.

So thanks to Dlask for their awesome speedy service. My new HK 416 pistol arrived today and performed perfectly at the range tonight. Best Christmas present I have bought myself in years.........

Wow, a lot of haters on here who seem to have never touched this rifle. I bought one down in the states 2 years ago for my wife and they are a blast, very accurate and in a caliber that you can shoot all day and not break the bank. Unfortunately I had to sell all the 30 and 20 rounds mags before coming back to Canada, but will be all over the Colt .22 mags as 10 rounds is just a tease.

I live in Calgary, Alberta and if got it right I can get these (umarex/walter HK416 d145rs ) in Canada only through deadzombies and dlask arms. I just contacted them both and I'll see what response will I get from them.
I am still reading forums and doing research and if you guys find any more news about that rifle please let me know.

hey, anyone in the abbotsford area got one of these? id like to do an in depth review like i did for the stock II but cant really buy one for myself
 
this may be a stupid question but I would love one of those in 9mm. We can't have MP5's and the scorpion evo is probably never going to come here. You pistol is exactly what I'm looking for if only in a larger caliber. I'm sure it's some kind of import restriction thing.
 
They are out of stock right now because of the gun ban scare.....but should be in shortly. We will keep you updated.

How much money do you have? We can get you a Kriss or one of the several AR Pistols. Or if you REALLY want to spend money ($4500) we can get you a Real Swiss Made Sig 556P Pistol. These are made in Switzerland not the USA. Let me know......
