The B.C. Tactical SKS Mount Is Good To Go

I bought a B.C. Tactical SKS mount and it's good to go.

The installation was a little more involved than what I was lead to believe it might be. I had to drill out the leaf spring that adjusts the height of the original sight, but other than that it was pretty straight forward.

I've shot the gun a couple of times with the mount and a Vortex Sparc and it's been rock solid. I haven't lost zero and it's had some rough use. I also like how you can completely disassemble the gas system without removing the mount.

My only complaint is that the engraved "SKS" on the top of the mount looks a little tacky.

They've got them on sale right now for $50 which is a smokin' deal. For under $300 you could have the mount and a Vortex Sparc and it's just about the ultimate red-dot setup for a SKS, in my opinion.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying our product. As for that engraving we will look at removing them on future runs. If there is any other feed back on our products we love to hear from you our customers. Whether its good, bad or it's just some idea that you think would make these products better.

I may end up being the first Kiwi to own this mount. Scout scopes in the USA weren't very interested in doing business with me, but BC have gone out of their way to get me this mount. Great customer service. I'm keen to see what other products they come up with
 
Just got my B.C.Tactical Scout Scope Mount in the mail today and it looks like a very well thought out piece of kit. Now i'll be looking for a suitable long eye-relief scope for it. Thanks for the quick service B.C.Tac!
 
I've been thinking of similar set up for my SKS more so for a co-witness for the factory front sight post.

How do you find adjustment for elevation? Does it max out low or high? I'd like to go with the shortest height possible for maximum low-profile.

the mount is designed to sit above the front sight, as to not interfere with whatever optics you mount on it, so the only way you'll be getting it to co-witness is if your front sight post get a whole lot taller.
