The "Beowulf" to the 308?

If we could hunt with the AR I would have one for sure. Not really sure it's needed though since the 308 is already so capable for hunting.
Very cool though, love having options.

Buy an m14 and use AIA magazines. Northern Republic is taking oreorders for 20/20 and 25/25 round magazines.

Put it in a SAGE EBR stock and it looks pretty black to me, though it should go into the main battle rifle forum.

Haha...exactly what I am doing!!!

Meh...it's high granted but it's affordable still...

And old-timey looking big bore straight wall cartridge in a modern auto-loader? What's not to love.

Especially if you don't have to buy proprietary brass.

I wonder when barrels will make their way to Canada? Gonna make me regret selling all my 452 projectiles. I have a lot of 308 brass (should stop giving it away).
Need to convert an M-14 or some other non restricted semi into a Raptor. Would be nice if the government ever pulled their heads out of their arse and made the AR non restricted but I wouldn't hold my breath.

More like how 300 blackout is to 5.56 instead of Beowulf is to 5.56.

Uses all the same parts as the 308 rifle except uses a different barrel. Just like 300 black out is just a barrel swap out of a 5.56/.223 rifle.

Enlighten us with your cheaper source please.

lets just say I pay half what they are charging... If I had a licence to sell them I would. same deal with ammo to just not sure the processs of being able to import and sell stuff legally

So you have or are a better source for the magazines, but won't sell because you don't have a licence to sell, even though a licence is not needed to sell magazines?

Um. K.

For when you need to take down a T-Rex... for everything else, there's .308. Seriously though I am pumped about this round ever since reading the article 2 weeks ago. I think a Remington 700 would be epic in this caliber!
