I load my hunting rounds with TTSX but I'm looking for inexpensive bullets for shooting practice rounds in various hunting positions, as well as some target shooting. I'm not that concern if the rounds I make up have the same POI as my TTSX rounds because I can always move the POI as long as I keep my original POI information for my hunting rounds on record so I can switch it back before hunting season begins,,,,, and just fine tune if I have to.

What would you recommend? Looking for the cheapest projectiles I can find that I can develop a load for in my .308 and my 7-08. I imagine buying in bulk would be the way to go.

Cheapest is cast. There is so much offhand and position shooting practice that can be done for almost nothing that it is surprising that everyone doesn't cast.

Best bang for your buck in jacketed bullets is probably the Hornady Interlock, and don't be too awful quick to write them off as hunting bullets as well.

Bulk hornady interlocks. IMO they are the cheapest decently accurate bullets.

it wont be cheap shooting 308 no matter what you do.
cast is another game, I personally will never go the cast route for rifle. It's ok for pistols, but it takes a lot of time, reading, and trouble.

30$ per 100 st higginson for FMJ 150 grains.

shot 600 of those a few years ago, they are ok.
