the best Milsurp for plinking 100 m and + ???

k98 ,Mosin nagins ,SMLE Lee Enfield,M1 garand , M1 30 cal Carbine, yugo mausers ect

the best and the + precision ???

All of them are capable of 100 meter+ shooting.

For a Stock rifle precision:

Swede Mauser
Springfield 03a3
Swiss k31
No4 Enfield
Type 38 Arisaka

All the Milsurp rifles are capable of very good accuracy with practice and tuning.

With good ammo, the rifle in good trim and you doing your part, any of them can be made to hit a silver dollar at 100 yards. Problem these days is finding a silver dollar to waste.

Of the list, the Swede is by far the easiest on the shoulder.

Handloading will be necessary.

Good luck.

If accuracy is the aim go with any that have a rear aperture sight as this offers a 2 point sight picture which simplifies shooting for many. That would incl any of the M1 Garand, M1917 Enfield, P14 Enfield, M1903 Springfield(using aperture in rear sight leaf), 03A3 Springfield, and No4 Lee-Enfield. The MkIII Ross is also capable of excellent accuracy. Provided that one can shoot well with open sights, then the list could be expanded to include the MkIII Lee-Enfield, Swede Mauser, M98 Mauser, Mosin Nagant, and the K31 Swiss. After that make sure that the bore is sound and the stock bedding is as it should be.

In addition to the rifle and it's mechanical condition it is a matter of quality ammo and practice. Handloads bring out the best in any rifle. Military rifles weren't intended to be precision shooters, although many are capable of this. The accuracy standard for the No4 LE Sniper rifle was a 5 shot group measuring 3"x3" @ 100 yds.

Snipers working with the Lovat Scouts just after D-Day felt that if the rifle/ammo combination would "rim an English penny" at 100, it was good enough. I had this direct from the mouth of one of the men. They selected their ammo from available stores by lot number. If a particular lot shot better, it would be sequestered for their use and not just dumped into general issue.

Once the LOT had been settled, it was time for checking individual rounds for length, bullet runout, depth of primer seating, all those good things. They knew what they were doing and it paid off, same as in Match shooting.

BTW, that meant ALL of your shots on or under a 31mm coin (1-1/4 inches): toonie is 30mm.

Have fun!
