Ok , as stated in the latest black bear hunting thread, we're all going buggy from cabin fever and the gauntlet has been tossed.

Contest starts as soon as its legal to harvest a black bear or two in your region of this beautiful and vast country populated by ursus americanus. To be considered for the king of the internet you will be required to post up a picture of your face with a dead black bear legally harvested by yourself according to the laws of your province or territory in the picture. A second and third pic showing your chosen weapon and a tape measure with the length and width of the skull would help. Details of the hunt should be added citing method used ,cartridge, load, range of shot etc...

We'll operate on the honor system and refrain from bad mouthing anyone's chosen hunting method, cartridge , rifle choice or size of bear harvested. Congratulatory posts are encouraged as are details of the hunt, tips and funny stories ( no groaners).

Cut off date is 30 June 2016, we'll toss the voting out in the form of a poll when the time arrives and the winner will be the official black bear king of the internet until the fall hunting season is upon us.

nice, post # 4in a sticky LOL
it's fitting as this year I am going to actually purposefully go out and hunt black bears. always buy a tag just in case, but never shoot the ones I see. Changing that this year ;)
 
Maybe i'll partake in this. I'll post all sorts of pictures, but I won't post my face. Anyone can do a reverse image search of any pics I post and see that they are 100% my'n without my mug being in them. So if that disqualifies me from being the king of the internetz, so be it.
 
You will have to set sum restriction on my salf as I'm Haida and can l legally hunt anytime plus on Haida Gwaii we got the bigges black bears
