Hello fellow gun nutz,
i am hoping you guys may have some advice for me, i'm in the market for a tactical rifle. i have a great love for military rifles and do have some experience with them. i'm fairly new to buying firearms and really want to get the best bang for my buck. i've seen a lot of the Norinco m4's and have fired several, what are your opinions about this model? are there any other quality rifles available in canada that compare?
Thanks a lot for the info!

Are you asking if there are any other AR15 type rifles in Canada? Other than the Norinco M4? Or are you asking for other AR15s at around the same price point? Or are you asking if there are others around the same "quality"?

you can get a variety of AR15s in canada and if not you can have it imported.

The norinco is at the bottom of the price range. Typically you get what you pay for, with the question being what you really need and need to pay....

There is little wrong with starting with a Norinco and then to upgrade if you want something better. Or go up in the price scale right away.

(I have a Stag which is mid priced and am very happy with it. Personally I will not touch a chinese made gun, but thats just me)

while the Norc is fine, and nearly everyone has no problems to report.

However, if you spend $300-$400 more you can get a noticeably better quality firearm.

hey thanks for the info, i agree that you certainly get what you pay for. im just trying to feel out what is available in canada before i look to import from the states or other countries.

Many of the major brands are already available in Canada. To find a quality AR you won't need to import from the US yourself. You can find almost anything you want from the EE or from any one of the sponsors.

The norinco goes bang every time.... but it lacks the quality look. If one day I have money that I have no use for, I might get a good looking more expensive AR for the fun of it, but for now, I have a norinco and it works ....

I disagree. It is the cheapest but not the best for the money.
depends how much money you have....
Mine has been 100% reloable so far, and quite precise. My norc ar15 shoots way better than my keltec su16F with the bent plastic receiver and crappy sights...
