Tony Bernardo was darn good!

What a load of hogwash from the hosts. "Oh why would you want something that looks like the deadliest gun of all times?"
No shortage of goodies in this one.
Good thing Tony did not mention the classification of the Valmet. That might have caused a phobic breakdown.

Edit: link to the show and topics today.

Real professional reporting there: [exasperated sigh] But Mr. Bernardo, what if a *child* was using one? The police could mistake him for a terrorist!

At the end, the RCMP were not available for comment, but we've put pictures of the evil baby killer on our web-site; tell us what _you_ think.

I'm somewhat skeptical about the particular statement that the AK 47 is "the deadliest gun of all times". What's the data to support such a statistic? By total numbers? Corrected for the number of AKs produced? I would be willing to hypothesize that relative to the numbers in service, the AK is probably not the deadliest gun in the world. Does anyone know where unbiased data can be found?

We need to stay away from categorizing firearms as more deadly than others. No such thing. It's the people behind it that are more deadly than other people. If they didn't have the AK 47 they would have used something else, including non-firearms. Their intent is to harm other people. What they use is irrelevant and a waste of resources in trying to control the object as opposed to the person. Take all the effort and money in firearm control and spend it on education, health care etc. Look at the crime rates in those country's that do just that.

There are no good guns or bad guns. Gun owners need to pound that into their skulls. If they continue to throw certain "bad" guns and their owners under the proverbial bus in order to protect their "good" guns karma will eventually bite them in the a$$. Gun banners are never satisfied, their goal is complete civil disarmament. Period.

Agreed, wholeheartedly!

why does anyone need one, why women need a $500 purse? a $5 one is adequate to hold your belongings, Why do you need a Ferrari, or lambo in Canada you can only drive 110 and like 4 months out of the year, these are topics i would have brought up.
