That looks sweet. I want to make my SKS look as close to that as possible. Luckly there is a lathe at my work place. ;)

Too bad that's a 16"bbl SKS. Oh well guess I'll just need to settle on 18.6". I'm going to go a step further and thread the barrel for an AK slant muzzle break. The barrel on the SKS is tapered... Not sure if anyone realizes that or not, so I may have to open up the front sight / bayonet assembly.

Yours is looking fairly close. Looks to the same stock, just that they'd attached an underfolder.

One of those Sevensixtwo System mag catches and some metal AK mags...good to go.

Then take a dust cover scope mount, cut the mount off, and weld a nut on it.

In regards to the tapered barrel I think you would step down the barrel o.d. There is a tool for just that, but if maybe you could bore the fsb as well.

I've been thinking about stepping down the barrel. I just need to check thickness of both the bayo/sight assembly and the barrel.

Very cool - the imgur comments about "shiniest trash gun" were unwarranted.

The 16" bbl and folder in the OP looks pretty slick. Seeing that I feel like making some modifications to a spare....
