Took a noob to the range today. Set him up with the CZ 58. Five rounds, show him how to switch mags, 2 more and "CLICK". I take it and clear it. Check the shells and they are showing good primer strikes. Recharge it and pass it back and "CLICK".
So I set him up with the 10/22 and broke down the CZ. I am expecting to find pieces of metal somewhere inside. I am thinking that the Gremlin may have overpowered my tabbed bolt carrier. Nothing to be seen after breakdown. Shake the bolt and the firing pin is a bit sticky. Look down the striker channel and there is a 22 cleaning patch compressed to papyrus inside. Picked it out and fired another 100 odd rounds.
Moral of the story, don't over use Hoppes and patches cramming the damn things into every nook and cranny.
