Not sure if you guys saw my other 2 posts but i picked up 3 stripped NEA lowers in the summer/fall and my plan was to spend some quality time this winter building 3 ARs from scratch as my other ones have all been purchased fully assembled.
Thought it would be a nice project to get intimate with the AR platform and learn all the little stuff about it.
Makes it much easier to trouble shoot errors when you know all the little pieces and what they do.

So i got around over Christmas to putting together the 3rd and final AR.

The first one being the Super Shorty AR Pistol in OD Green.
The 2nd being a 18" DMR build in Black/FDE.
And now this 3rd one which i had originally planned to go 300BLK or 7.62 but ended up just going 14.5" Carbine in 5.56.
Ill pick up a 300 and 7.62 when i see them on sale.

so pretty simple build.
In fact ive taken to calling this gun Jane as she is a Plain Jane build.
Nothing fancy about it, just plain old everything.
I did upgrade the grip and put a optic on it - both of which i had on a old Norc and thought id enjoy them more on this build.

so, without further babble....

NEA 14.5" in 5.56
True to my other 2 builds i stuck to all NEA parts as they are all fitting perfectly (like they where made to work together)
just with the Hogue Grip and the Bushnell 1xMP.
optic co witness's through with the back up sites perfectly (that is a real fetish of mine!)

runs like a top just like the other 2!

im gonna take them all out this week since we are into the -48 and see how they run and i plan on or im PLANNING on trying to put around 1,000 rounds through each of them this comming year to test them out.
should be a fun year for AR shooting!

Looking good, really like the shorty, was contemplating one of those stocks for my build.

I bought all NEA parts for my new ar, going with a 10.5" upper. SFRC has had some sweet pricing on NEA stuff lately.

Very nice!
Since we are only about one week into winter yet what's next ? :)

ya i kinda got a little excited and built them all super fast because i wanted to play with them.

not sure..... thinking of making a laminated 2x4 reloading bench in my shop, also tossing around the idea of getting that Black NEA Cerakote'd white...... being Canadian and all that would be fitting.

I think a distressed, battle worn others call it, would look really good. Might not be your thing though.
