So,

To continue from my previous thread.

I had to send back the rifle to Gravel Agency,

The bolt is quite hard to close when chambering a round in my new replacement .308 barrel.

They paid for shipping, but I don't know when I will get my rifle back.

A real nightmare

Q's instagram was shut down and they never replied to my emails

Shame about their IG account, that could've provided some entertainment.

KB is an unapologetic a$$hole, kind of like Mark LaRue. There is never anything wrong with their products, any imperfection or issue must be due to directly to the incompetence and stupidity of the consumer.

So, just an update.

Q says the scratches on my barrel nut are normal (BS if you ask me)

And also, Gravel still has my rifle because of chambering issues. So way to go, I paid top dollars and I still cannot get out and shoot it.

I would buy again anyways, but I would says if this is a major issue for any of you, better stay away for now..

Jeez I'm disappointed

I get why you might be disappointed about your rifle still being with gravel for chambering issues, but you are way too whiny if you're concerned about assembly marks that are not visible when the rifle is fully assembled, especially when you're only going to increase the amount of marks / wear in that area with repeated barrel changes. You're being so picky that I wouldn't be surprised if you complained about a little bit of flashing being visible on the the rubber butt pad or plastic grip when they are removed, or that your new firearm has brass marks on the bolt from being test fired at the manufacturer (therefore it isn't new by your thought process ).

Stop being impossible to please, especially for normal things that didn't bother you prior to you becoming aware of them, it's not like those marks are going to drive the value of your specific example down if they all have them and none of them are visible when properly assembled.

You will be happier and people will take you more seriously if you don't whine about every little thing.

One also must remember that when you annoy people over trivial matters they are less likely to help you when you really need them. I wish you well in getting your issue resolved.

Spot on.

I really don’t know what kind of authority you have to tell me not to whine? You don’t even know me, you don’t know what i do.

I get that you are an active cgn user and probably a very knowledgeable person but hey.

This is not meant to whine but just a warning for others like me who want to get this rifle.

I own and have owned several top dollar rifles and this is the first time i have a problem with a rifle.

So don’t go and pick the high ground and try and sound like a moral compass. I really hate that. This is a forum and as far as i can tell i have not overstepped what i have the liberty to says. And you don’t provide anything useful to my problem.

By the way; update; no news from gravel as of today. They did tell me they fix the finish issue on my 6.5 barrel. It’s been about two weeks since i last heard of them.

Hey man, freedom of speech is a funny thing, it gives me the right to tell you not to whine just like you have the right to tell me to f off. Haha

Not sure what my level of activeness on the form has to do with it my opinion, unless you figure the more active one is, the more weight his opinion carries? Idk, lots of folks here are probably far more knowledgeable, especially on bolt guns and precision rifles.

The chambering issue is definitely something to be warned of, but you very clearly framed this whole thread with a heavy dose of wine just look at the title... haha. My drama alert went off before I even clicked it the first time :) it's all good though, it has made for good entertainment.

And once again I think your criticism of the chambering issue is completely warranted and I never disputed that. Getting something new that doesn't work sucks and even more so when you paid a high dollar for it. That being said every manufacturer is going to have the odd lemon no matter how prestigious, an unfortunate fact is that warranty work in Canada is incredibly painful unless it is a Canadian manufacturer because it always has to go through an intermediary.

Not trying to be anyone's moral compass, if you're following mine be warned it's very flawed! The last sentence in my quoted post was just a small piece of helpful advice I learned that once really makes life far easier and more enjoyable.

I really do hope you get your rifle fixed of any irregularities in short order so you can either enjoy it for what it is or move on if you're still not satisfied with the assembly marks. Having money tied up in a warranty claim sucks.
