I bought some Cascade Action Pacs for the dishwasher (like these but 90's, so it is bigger) and we were running out.

On the way to the store my wife asked me to get some more. I get home and my wife says to me that maybe I should keep the empty container for storing some shells. Driving home I was thinking that I could probably use the empty container for the same thing. She's a good woman.;)

Nice story.
It's a lucky man that has a spouse that appreciates/shares any of their sports/hobbies. I'm lucky too:p

Single male seeks single female. (Dark) Sense of humour a must. Willing to spend more money on shooting supplies than on all other household items. Familiar with/likes tenting at the range during multi-day shoots, trimming brass cartriges, sizing and lubing bullets, depriming spent cases, cutting wads, and paying for my Black Powder Cartridge News subscriptions. Also able to read wind, light, and mirage changes though her KOWA spotting scope. Addiction to 19th Century single shots, lever action rifles, and fine revolvers a plus. Proving ownership of said items a major plus.

Please send photo of spotting scope and guns.:)

Same here. Wife denied anything I wanted. Shot only old milsurps that grouped badly but only cost me $25. New wife lets me get what I want. Her philosophy is, since I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, stay out until all hours with who knows what (all things her first husband did), I can buy what I want, shoot what I want, hunt what I want and she'll come along too, if I want. I am living the dream.
We were out shooting gophers the other day and she noticed that the tobacco can of cartridges was reaching the bottom and she suggested that we stop at CTC and get some on our way home. Even though there are several thousand in the locker at home. Since we had used a thou, we should replace it while we were out. Gotta love it. We got some, then went out and zeroed her .243 for coyotes.

The wife was standing over my shoulder reading this thread cause I was laughing so hard! She said," See, you don't have it that bad after all!" I had to agree with her.....she had a hot cup of coffee in her hand!

See, so far my wife has spent more on quilting than I have on firearms so I'm safe for now....trying to convince her she really needs to upgrade one of her machines this summer, papa needs some reloading gear and a scope for my 308 :)

Heh... My wife actually went shooting with us boys (my two kids & me) for the first time today! :dancingbanana:

As for brass storage, nothing's better than those empty 2-gallon weight gain / protein powder containers. Each one of those holds about 10,000 pieces of 9mm brass.

well i got you all beat. my spouse wants to go to the range at least once a week and just started reloading her own ammo, and to top it all off she is the best fishing partner i have had

Having coffee on the deck the other morning, my wife commented that I don’t go to the range and shoot as often as I used to. That all I do is read books on bullets and rifles trying to design the ultimate gun or bullet and that in the future I would be sorry I wasted time not plinking.
I find that going to a range be it silhouettes, popping a few clays or finding a place for the long range tactical relieves stress, well, in me anyway. You’re getting fresh air, sun (or rain if you live in Saskatoon) but your mind is off everyday crap and you focus and you focus hard on the task at hand. A task I enjoy.
A shooter must be able to multitask. They are open-minded and alert to every aspect of the sport. Whether you realize it or not, physics, geometry, algebra, chemistry, geography and anatomy all play a major roll in one form or another, at the same time allowing you to a achieve a level of excellence whether competitive or just for individual pleasure in these type of sports.
Yesterday I went out for 3 hours. I left the range thinking of what I will take out the next time and what do I need to change in the next couple of days - then I smiled.
She was right.
