The holster cost more than the colt revolver.

This is my Remington 1875 in chambered in 44 Remington with the holster it came with. Pretty confident that this is holster is as old as the revolver. This what I expect leather to look like that is around 140 years old.

I have a second Civil War Holster for Navy Caliber Revolvers---NOT IN THE SAME CONDITION AS THE HOLSTER SHOWN ABOVE----BUT NOT INEXPENSIVE.

These two revolvers will not fit in this holster.

These five would fit.

My Father bought this Blackpowder in the 1960s when we shot our Remington and Starr SA and our Manton rifle.
I decided that I was a collector not a shooter and I sold the gun powder in July 2021.
He may have rolled over in his grave when I did it
