The homesteader carbine now has an FRT for Canada. Available for import $749.99 USD

I really like the idea of this gun but to echo what most people have said, restricted=no interest whatsoever. As for a domestic barrel maker jumping in, if this was an all-steel gun I could maybe see making that extra investment. I've really wanted to like Henry's and overall, am warming-up to say...aluminum receiver-ed Mossberg shotguns for instance. I've tried to like Henry rimfires, is the receiver on this 9mm carbine the same material?

The rimfire lever rifles are made from ZAMAK ( zinc, aluminum, magnesium and some copper I believe as well)

Very strong.

I would think the 9mm homesteader would be something stronger, but who knows?

Email Henry USA and ask them......:)

From Henry's website:

Daily wear and tear are inevitable for a hardworking carbine like the Homesteader, and the finishes need to hold up. A blued steel barrel, hard anodized aluminum receiver, and sealed American walnut deliver durability in spades. The 1/2×28 threaded barrel supports suppressor use right out of the box to keep the neighbors (and your ears) happy.

why would anyone spend this kind of money on a friggin cheap Henry, specially a restricted one,LOL.when you can buy the Ruger 9mm carbine that non -restricted AND a take down, makes no sense.

There are currently no wood options available for the pc9 (or any pcc that im aware of). This is a cool gun, the best part is if you don't want one, nobody is making you buy one. The more options and more guns in Canada the better for all gun owners.

but it's still a Henry, that said, they are really nice looking, but restricted is useless here, and the price point is high for what it is,now if Ruger would only make their PC9 in a nice walnut stock like their Deluxe 1022,now we'd really have something, maybe even in a non takedown, now THAT would be worth spending the money on,but a Henry, that's a bit of a stretch.but like you said,it's ok to have the option in canada.

Can you explain your dislike for Henry firearms please.

Henry has the best customer service in the firearms history, they are well made, look beautiful and are extremely accurate!

In addition, they are made in the United States by real Americans, not China.

I look forward to your thoughts.

The way you describe Henry rifles speaks volumes.

Anthony Imperato would disagree with your thoughts on Henry firearms. He states " if you spend your hard earned money on a Henry rifle, I will guarantee it".

Sounds like lifetime use to me. lol

Your words, frigging Henry and cheap 22's makes it sound like you do not like them.

I say, do not buy them then........:)

The restricted categorisaton means you can't actually use it as a Homesteader gun.

Only an approved range, that's it.

A Canadian model would be welcome, but Henry already sells all they can make.

Aren’t NR registered as well now? I am a new PAL holder, every time I buy a rifle I get an email from the rcmp lol.

Not really.

The email you receive from the RCMP CFC are notifications your firearms license was checked in order to purchase a non restricted firearm.

This is a sneaky and creepy way of a back door long gun registry which is not wanted by Canadians.

It's another nail in Trudea's career!......:(
