I would love to get one next month but with that other company no longer does the non-restricted lowers. Any word on Canam's progress on getting a NR lower for this upper?

Was there an issue with the fluted barrel that led to omitting them this time around?

No issues with the previous fluted barrel. Possibly a little to do with cost savings.
Yes, fluting does save a little weight (0.5 lbs) but then again on a 25 lb rifle its not a huge factor when sitting on a Bi-Pod.
The additional cooling provided by the fluting wasn't a big factor due to the slow rate of fire. If it was a semi-auto...
There is a chance we will get the fluted barrels in the future.

What is the accuracy like, I don't call seeing any reports, just shooting in some youtube vids by tootall and rickervision

I was in the process of load develop let for my Gen 1 upper when Gen 2 came out and CanAm offered upgrades for Gen 1 owners for a reasonable cost. My Gen 2 has only around 10 rounds through from 1 trip to the range so far, with a new scope mounted. So far, I would say accuracy is "promising".

I plan to do some load development this summer and will post results.

Sounds good!
