The Inglis Factory - As it stands today...

Awesome post.
We could never arm the allies the way we did in WW2. We don't make anything anymore. The cost and time it would be required to build a new factory any conflict would be long over with.

And rest assured SNC Lavalin would get the contract, because with the incompetent and ever bungling Trudeau Liberals...........the fix is in.

As the story goes, back in the day, early 90's - 2000's, I found that Mr Clark and myself where doing independent tours of Longbranch and Inglis.

I had one extra advantage, I was working for Canada Post at the time (retired now) and the Longbranch facilities was run and maintained by them during this period.

Lets just say, a buddy and myself explored all the cracks and crevasses.

Found a few interesting souvenirs during our raid.

Canada Post used the area for mailbox repair and storage. (Sort of a mailbox graveyard)

They where the last to occupy Longbranch before demolition.

It was kind of surreal walking those hallowed hallways, work floors and office's. We also spent a fair amount of time at the main range, water tower (full of Hornets nests) and the ranges at the inspection building.

I let Mr Clark use some of my pictures at the time. Some of these might even be mine.

As a side note, during WW2, my father was in the Merchant Navy and when he was home on leave, he used to party with the Longbranch and Inglis babes. They mostly all lived within walking distance of the facilities.
