An older one, not 19th but 20th century.
I have been upland hunting grouse and rabbit using whatever was at hand at the time; 410, 20, 12 ga shotguns, 22lr, crossbows, sling shots etc. The shotguns have definitely been the main firearms and they were usually break action single or pumps.
Over Christmas last year my brother and I decided that we would take a few grouse specific walks this fall. For the purpose we would each acquire a side by side shotgun and become gentlemen hunters (I jest). He landed a solid Stevens 311 Series H in 20ga and is currently bringing it back to better than how it left the factory.
I landed this, a well maintained 1958 AYA (Aguirre y Aranzabal). It in 20 ga. with full and tight modified chokes. The barrels ring nicely and the barrels are tight on the face. Even though the stock is quite short it is comfortable for me and comes up smoothly. I believe that it is a Model 400.

1959 AyA with 2 triggers and 20 ga is a great choice for a grouse gun. You might want the chokes opened up for wingshooting.
