Well, I finaly finished a little side project I have been tinkering with. Although the rifle was shooting quite well before hand (sub moa) I decided to bed it, and repaint the stock since it was a little beat up after a few hard hunts.
I started with a good overal sanding of the factory paint, then houged out the action area of the stock with a dremel tool.
Then I bedded it up and crossed my fingers
After "separation" I block sanded the top smooth, masked off all the bedding, and got it ready for paint
A good coat of 2 part epoxy paint with a "splater" effect and a couple coats of flat clear
I think the fit and finish looks great now!
