Anybody else seen the latest Stevens 200 rifles? Put the new Stevens 200 next to the detachable magazine Savage 11/111 series & you can see the outline on the bottom of the Stevens stocks where they could be cut out to make the Savage stock. They have the same contour on the bottom as the Savage stocks, slightly rounded on the bottom of the forend, not dead flat as on the older Stevens. Even the grip cap is the same as the new Savages [different from the elder Stevens 200's]. The new series Stevens even have a nicer recoil pad vs the older Stevens but still not quite a nice as on the Savage version with the detach mag.

Was looking at a new Stevens 200 in .243 today at the local shop & it was parked on the rack right next to a new accutrigger model Savage 111 .30-06 with detachable magazine.

I recieved a new center feed Stevens the other day. Very please with the fit and finish on the metal.

The gray is gone thought, I covered that up right way.

Stuck a Rifle Basix in my 7-08 and that little 200 really shoots. Great truck gun, and with the Accubond 140's pushed by RL-15, it's dynamite on anything I ever wanna shoot at. And yeah, grey is gone on mine too - hideous color that grey. Reminds me of funeral homes for some subconscious reason. Went to straight flat tan Krylon. Maybe airbrush it up this winter if I get bored. Anybody got one in .22-.250? Wondering how they behave...

Nice paint job!

Well, handled the new one again today when at the shop. Only thing that kept me from putting $$ down on one is our big 2 day gunshow is coming up next weekend so I want to maximize my fun money stash. We'll see....

I painted it with tan and black Krylon and some tall straw type grass from the local golf course.

Mines 22-250. I'm still waiting for my scope bases to arrive in the mail, won't be able to take it out to shoot until next weekend :(

Nice thing about the new Stevens and Savages that use the center feed mag is it's all the same and you can convert your blind mag Stevens to a detach or hinged floor plate later if you choose.
