Am I the only one who reminisces of the mythical ak we were supposed to get that turned out to be a straight pull pos? Trying to lighten the mood from all the doom and gloom on here.

ah i remember those days. it was by interarms if i recall. they lead us to believe we were getting a sweet semi auto ak that was somehow canada legal.

they kept posting pics of Polish Tantels on the facebook fage, but would never explain how they planned to get an AK classified as non restricted.

then it was "it wont be an ak internally"

then the news broke, a straight pull ak look alike with proprietary magazines. the backlash was fierce.

then they turned around and said the first batch would go to Australia /new Zealand, and i don't think they ever went there either.

i think the original model name was the interarms CSR-13 (Canadian semiauto rifle 2013), then they re named it, then they dropped it and deleted their facebook page.

that feels like a hundred years ago.
