Now if you are interested, join your local PRA's (Provincial Rifle Associations) in your own home provinces and see what kind of SR or Vintage rifle or target rifle competitions exist.
Likely you may/will have Target Rifle competitions, perfect for shooting your match prepared, heavy barreled M1A (Super match?) or NM (medium profile) Norc M14 with a shooting jacket, sling, and spotting scope. Nothing like learning to read the wind with lots of coaching nearby!
You will be surprised to see what your M14 can/ will do once you replace the cheesy pre 2009 rear sights, and then tweak your rifle like Oldsmobiler, M14doctor, Skullboy, Shazam, Otokiak, Chalkriver , and a whole host of other M14 addicts have tried under "our" tutelage!
