The milspec tube that takes the STR stock the best

The milspce tube I have is from a Vltor IMOD set which doesn't fit my milspec Magpul STR stock. The stock can only take 1 and half inches of the tube and after that it can't move further. I think it's the metal button inside the tunnel blocks the tube coming through, as it's always about half cm above the surface, no matter how hard I pushed with the dummy round enclosed and even got the tip of the round broken off.

Anyone knows if it's the problem of the stock or the tube, or maybe it's just the Vltor tube won't fit Magpul stock.

Is there any tube that can Magpul milspec stock without an issue or the best, given I can't get an exchange or refund on the stock?

I appreciate any input on this!

You have to get that metal nub all the way down. I had to use a screwdriver to pry mine down far enough on my ACS stock. Milspec is milspec.

With all Magpul stock you really have to pull hard on the pin to get it on the tube.

Yeah,dummy round tip broke on me too...use a knife or screwdriver. the STR and CTR both have the friction lock, so they lock up nice and tight on any mil spec tube once you get them on.
