The Mosin Nagant M-38 1939-1942 Does it Exist?

Hello,

I have a real hankering for an M-38 Carbine, 1939,1940,1941,1942 (if well finished). It seems that I have seen a massive drop in people advertising/talking about these sweet little carbines in the last 6 months, any ideas why?

I have advertised twice on the EE, and not a single bite in months. Are the only M-38's out there seriously 1943/44!? Does anyone have one for sale? I don't mind a refurb or mismatched stock (M-44 stock anyone?)
If someone has one they would part with, let me know!

The early M38s do indeed exist! I have had the pleasure of firing quite a few. The 1939s are quite difficult to find, but the others are out there. Keep looking.

hey Drachenblut, I hear these Mosin Nagant M38 are unattainable. Most are willing to part with obscene amounts of cash just to look at one. Good luck in your search.

Got one. They are sold out at most dealers. We won't see them again unless they come up on the EE.

You (and I actually) just missed a '42 in the correct wartime HW stock. He traded for an SKS on the EE. Didn't help he titled the WTT as "M44"

you just made me check the date on mine is a 1940 with all numbers matching with the corect stock.got mine from weimajack about a year ago you might want to contact him.his stuff is always very nice from what i have seen.

I have two 38s but the dates are 1944. One has a 38 stock and the other has a 44 stock.
